StorARCH Private Cloud Archive and Retrieval
Clients may choose to deploy on a “Private Cloud” infrastructure within Krome’s ISO 27001 certified partner Data Centres.
The benefits of a Private Cloud model include:
- Potential for a more cost-effective model in the long term
- A greater level of security is possible in a Private Cloud setup, as the physical infrastructure can be dedicated to a single client
- Storage and processing costs are more stable and predictable, and less subject to external pricing changes (e.g. from a Cloud provider)
- Performance is less susceptible to external factors such as peaks in internet usage
Krome will work in collaboration with clients to agree a fit for purpose design, then take full responsibility for the build, configuration and ongoing maintenance of the environment.
Krome will identify and source the most cost-effective infrastructure components to meet the client’s requirements, and put in place an upgrade schedule to ensure that the end to end solution remains up-to-date and fully supported throughout its lifecycle.
The StorARCH Private Cloud solution is pre-certified for PCI DSS compliance. For every StorARCH implementation where cardholder data is present, a full QSA audit (ROC or SAQ) will be carried out to ensure that the environment satisfies all PCI DSS requirements.
Flexible data backup and Disaster Recovery options are available to meet the specific client requirements. Where StorARCH is required on a high availability basis by clients, an Active/Active architecture may be deployed across two data centres. Where a longer recovery point and time objective is in operation, an Active/Passive model may meet requirements on a lower-cost model.
